(Baonghean) - As the 7th project of VSIP, the integrated township and industrial park VSIP Nghe An has been considered the largest project in Nghe An and received special attention from leaders of VSIP and Nghe An. With the hope of welcoming new waves of investment in the project in 2017, VSIP has greatly boosted focus on investing in infrastructure and facilities. It has been so bustling these days on the work field of VSIP while many items in the industrial park such as roads, factories, sewage disposal system, ground leveling, etc. are being constructed. Despite performing many tasks at the same time, VSIP Nghe An has promptly made impressions and many investors have come to do business with them. The once exhausted rice paddy fields in Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An have been transformed into a large industrial park with extended roads and infrastructure, as well as factories promising a great investment “crop”.

Mr. Edwin Chee - Deputy General Director of VSIP Nghe An said: “By February 10th, 2017, representatives from more than 80 firms have come to collect information and opportunities to invest in VSIP Nghe An, among which 7 ones have signed investment commitment with an expected total capital of more than 300 million VND and an area of more than 6 hectares. 3 firms have received the land and are constructing factories. It is expected that one of those firms shall operate at the end of the 1st quarter of 2017”. As far as they are concerned, those 3 firms include TDV Vietnam manufacturing and trading company, ltd., NANOCO Vinh one-member Company, ltd. and Vietnam Post.
It is the happy news not only to investors but to Nghe An as well because we have had a lot of expectations. Each person especially whose land was recovered has a lot of expectations. They used to visit Binh Duong, where a VSIP integrated township and industrial park is located, and witness the development and changes of Binh Duong province that VSIP had brought about. Then they came home, accompanied and supported the dynamic investor, quickly completed land recovery to make room for the largest industrial park in Nghe An. Furthermore, though Nghe An has allowed VSIP Nghe An to carry out construction in an 132.78 hectare area for industrial park and another 42.78 hectare area for township, all works are promptly performed, particularly ground leveling and investment in infrastructure. Under those circumstances, the firm has put a lot of efforts to attract investment; many investors have arrived in Nghe An, showing that “peaceful land attract birds”.
On June 30th 2015, VSIP Nghe An project was granted investment certificate and just more than 2 months later, on an autumn day of September, VSIP Nghe An held ground breaking ceremony with the attendance of Prime Minister of Vietnam together with Singaporean Minister of Trade and Industry. Until now, after less than 2 years, a great volume of work has been done with the collaboration from Nghe An political system, close monitor and investment focus from VSIP to carry out the integrated township and industrial park VSIP Nghe An as scheduled.

Commenting on the progress of VSIP Nghe An project, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee said: We appreciate the investor. VSIP is the group that Nghe An want to attract because of their professional manner. That can be seen in all stages from investment procedure to fulfilling paperwork or quick, fundamental and on-time investment. VSIP Nghe An project marks great success of Nghe An in attracting investment in many years and creates a breakthrough for us in the future.
To facilitate the operation of the project, Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee has proposed the Prime Minister and Ministry of Planning and Investment to adjust the boundaries of Dong Nam Economic Zone. Accordingly, the integrated township and industrial park VSIP Nghe An is now a park of the economic zone.
Nghe An has invested in Vinh-Hung Tay 70 meter road, connecting Vinh City and the integrated township and industrial park VSIP Nghe An. In 2016, Vinh City and Hung Nguyen District rushed to carry out land clearance, moving hundreds of households to construct the road.
Continuing to attract investors
VSIP Nghe An has leveled more than 70 hectares of industrial park ground in phase 1A. Along ground leveling, VSIP Nghe An is contructing its internal road system (roads D3, D2, N1, N2, N3, N4, N5, N9), sewage, water supply and rain water drainage system, lighting system along the above mentioned roads. Some main routes and internal roads for the operation of the industrial park have been basically finished and put into use.
VSIP Nghe An is also constructing several items supporting the operation of the industrial park, including: sewage processing factory, factories for lease, firefighting station and work office. Several factories for lease have been built and it is expected to operate the work office in June, the sewage processing factory in August.
Mr. Edwin Chee Deputy General Director of VSIP Nghe An added: Along with investing in industrial park, VSIP Nghe An has started ground leveling in an area of around 7 hectares for the township in the project. In 2017, we expect to finish ground leveling for 33 hectares of township, construct gate, main internal roads, central park, shopping mall and terraced houses within the township in the first stage of the project.
Attracting more clients with foreign investment into Nghe An shall be VSIP Nghe An’s priority in 2017. Accordingly, it shall step up efforts to focus on investment promotion in oversea markets. Apart from participating in workshops and investment promotions of VSIP Group, VSIP Nghe An is expected to hold at least 7 promotion events in several Asian countries (in Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand and Korea). VSIP Nghe An is also planning some options to support clients in terms of logistics in order to make VSIP Nghe An more competitive.
Beginning operation in Vietnam since 1996, VSIP has had 20 years of experience in developing industrial parks and townships in Vietnam. Since the first project in Binh Duong, VSIP has continuously developed projects in Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Quang Ngai and Hai Duong. VSIP Nghe An is its 7th project with an area of 750 hectares, adding up to 7,000 hectares of land fund. Currently all VSIP projects attract more than 660 investors from 30 countries and territories, with a total domestic and foreign capital of 32 billion USD, offering jobs for over 179,000 workers in the country.
