2,000 Nghe An athletes participate in the fundraising run 'Warm Tet in the Western region of Nghe An'
(Baonghean.vn) - 2,000 athletes will participate in the race through the UpRace application platform. All prizes of the competition will be used to implement charity projects for the Western region of Nghe An.
On the morning of November 18, the Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province and the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Nghe An province organized the Kick-off Ceremony of the online fundraising run "Warm Tet in the Western Region of Nghe An" at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh city).

The race aims to raise awareness of health training, build a healthy lifestyle, contribute to improving the physical and mental health of cadres, union members, association members and young people.
More importantly, through the race to support the spirit and material towards those in especially difficult circumstances, in need of help on the occasion of the Warm Tet 2024. This is the joint effort of all levels, sectors, organizations, businesses, individuals and the entire community for social security activities in difficult areas of Western Nghe An.

The race takes place from November 18 to December 9. Athletes participate in the race through the UpRace application platform. This application is installed on smartphones or watches with GPRS positioning to accumulate running distances.
Athletes are divided into 6 teams including: Team No. 1 is members of the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association and businesses (200 athletes).
Team No. 2: Members and youth from Quy Chau, Con Cuong, Que Phong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son districts (350 athletes).
Team No. 3: Members and youth from Anh Son, Thanh Chuong, Quy Hop, Tan Ky, Nghia Dan, Do Luong districts (350 athletes).
Team No. 4: Members and youth from Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc, Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Yen Thanh, Nam Dan districts (350 athletes).
Team No. 5: Members and youth from Vinh city, Cua Lo town, Hoang Mai town, Thai Hoa town (350 athletes).
Team No. 6: Union members, youth union members of the Youth Union of Provincial Agencies, Provincial Business Union, Provincial Police, Provincial Military Command, Provincial Border Guard Command, Provincial Student Association (350 athletes).

The final result of each team is calculated by the total number of kilometers that the team members run during the competition. An athlete will be certified as having completed the competition when both conditions are met: having a minimum number of valid running days of 5 days and having a total running distance of at least 5 kilometers.
The number of kilometers completed by athletes will be contributed to the team and donated by sponsors to the fund to carry out charity works.


Collective awards will also be entirely dedicated to charitable activities in the western districts of the province.
Specifically, First Prize: Support for the construction cost of a charity house worth 50 million VND and 30 million VND in cash. Second Prize: Support for the construction cost of a charity house worth 50 million VND and 10 million VND in cash. Third Prize: 30 million VND.
