30 farmers learn mushroom growing techniques
(Baonghean.vn) - On August 14, the Vocational Training and Employment Support Center of the Provincial Farmers' Association coordinated with the Farmers' Association of Nghi Long and Nghi Loc communes to open a vocational training class on mushroom growing techniques for 30 students who are members of the commune's Farmers' Association.
During the 3-month period, the trainees were taught basic knowledge about the process of growing two main types of mushrooms, oyster mushrooms and straw mushrooms, by the staff of the Provincial Farmers' Association's Vocational Training and Employment Support Center. This included selecting raw materials for growing mushrooms, how to process raw materials, how to inoculate seeds, grow mycelium, care and harvesting processes; how to prevent and treat some common diseases in mushrooms; how to process and preserve mushrooms after harvest.

In addition to theoretical knowledge in class, students also spend most of their time on practical practice through building model samples. After the class, students will receive a certificate of graduation from mushroom growing vocational training issued by the Vocational Training and Employment Support Center of Nghe An Farmers' Association.
The training course aims to help farmers' association members grasp basic knowledge in mushroom growing, thereby applying it to building family models to create jobs, increase income, and improve living standards.
