Authorities apprehended individuals involved in stealing and selling trash grates.
Nguyen Duc Anh, the ringleader, along with five other individuals, were involved in numerous thefts of garbage grates and motorcycles in Do Luong district. Three other individuals were arrested for receiving stolen property.
Recently, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police discovered a situation of theft of metal grates from public works in Do Luong district. The actions of these individuals not only caused outrage among local authorities and the public but also had serious consequences, potentially even endangering the lives of people participating in traffic.

Upon investigation, the police determined that the theft of the garbage grates was carried out by a group of three individuals residing in the districts of Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, and Tan Ky.
Notably, in just over two months, the suspects committed seven thefts of garbage grates in the area. The police also clarified that there was another group of three individuals specializing in buying and selling stolen property for the aforementioned suspects.
The ringleader of the aforementioned property theft gang was Nguyen Duc Anh (born in 1993), residing in Nghia Hanh commune, Tan Ky district. Joining Duc Anh were Tran Quoc Truong (born in 1997), residing in Da Son commune, Do Luong district, and Nguyen Duc Ngoc Anh (born in 1994), residing in Cat Van commune, Thanh Chuong district.

Therefore, in order to have moneydrug useFor personal expenses, Duc Anh, along with Truong and Ngoc Anh, conspired to steal metal grates from public works to sell. To conceal their crimes, they chose to steal property late at night on deserted roads with little traffic. After stealing the grates, they quickly transported them to another location to sell them that same night. In addition to the metal grates, the suspects also stole a motorbike from a local resident.
There are three individuals who, despite knowing that the property belonging to Duc Anh, Truong, and Ngoc Anh was obtained through criminal activity, still agreed to buy and sell it: Nguyen Thi Hanh (born in 1984) and Chu Thi Hang (born in 1982), both residing in Luu Son commune, Do Luong district, and Nguyen Thi Nguyet (born in 1984), residing in Nghia Hanh commune, Tan Ky district.

The Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police, in coordination with the police of Luu Son, Da Son, and Dang Son communes (Do Luong district), simultaneously arrested the six aforementioned individuals for the crimes of theft and receiving stolen property.
Initially, the police determined that in just over two months (from March to May 2025), the group of suspects stole 48 metal drain grates and one motorbike, causing damages exceeding 110 million VND.
The case is currently being investigated and handled by the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police in accordance with the law.
