Arrested subject trafficking 2kg of firecrackers

(Baonghean.vn) -Through investigation and monitoring, at 2:30 p.m. on January 20, Nghi Loc District Police broke up Project 114N, catching red-handed Thach Van Khoi (born in 1992), residing in Hamlet 16, Nghi Duc Commune, Vinh City, illegally trading in explosive materials such as firecrackers.

At the scene, the authorities seized a plastic bag containing firecrackers weighing 2kg, a mobile phone, a motorbike as a means of transport, and 750,000 VND.

At the police station, Thach Van Khoi confessed that he bought the fireworks for 400,000 VND in Nghi Phu Commune (Vinh City) to sell to a person in Nghi Hai Ward, Cua Lo Town. Thach Van Khoi has a previous conviction for destroying public property. Nghi Loc District Police have issued a decision to temporarily detain Thach Van Khoi for investigation of the act of trading fireworks.

It is known that this is the fourth case related to illegal firecracker trading and transportation discovered and arrested by Nghi Loc District Police during the peak period of crime suppression before, during and after the 2014 Lunar New Year.

The case is under further investigation.
