Seriously stabbed, victim begs for mercy to go to emergency room

On December 6, Dong Da District Police (Hanoi City) announced that the Dong Da District Police Investigation Agency had initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and temporarily detained Nguyen Van Hung (born in 1990), residing in O Cho Dua Ward, Dong Da District (Hanoi City) for the act of "Intentional injury".

According to the police, on the afternoon of November 24, the police of O Cho Dua ward (Dong Da district) received a report of a fight at the entrance of alley 69 Nguyen Phuc Lai. The incident left Mr. LT (residing in Van Chuong ward, Dong Da district) seriously injured. The police identified the suspect as Nguyen Van Hung.

On November 26, Nguyen Van Hung went to the police station to surrender and admitted his crime.

At the police station, Hung confessed that he and Mr. T. had a conflict over money. Mr. T. often cursed Hung, so he decided to threaten and intimidate Mr. T.

At about 3:40 p.m. on November 24, Hung left home carrying a kitchen knife to meet Mr. T. in O Cho Dua ward.

As soon as they met, the two had a disagreement and raised their voices. Mr. T. slapped Hung in the face. Out of anger, Hung pulled out a knife and stabbed Mr. T. twice and refused to let go even though the victim had collapsed.

At this time, Mr. T. begged Hung to let him go so he could go to the emergency room. At the same time, some people living nearby also came forward to stop him. After that, Hung dropped the knife and fled the scene.

Mr. T. was taken to the emergency room with the help of local people and was diagnosed with broken ribs and a punctured lung. The victim was determined to have suffered 39% health damage.
