The memorable impression of Ms. Emily to her students is not only her youthful appearance, cool "tomboy" style, but also her affectionate smile, gentle, friendly Southern accent, and especially a soul that is always full of energy and enthusiasm.
“Miss” is the cute nickname that her students affectionately call her every time she comes to class. Few people know that behind her youthful and individualistic appearance is a “huge” list of achievements that the teacher possesses. Many generations of her students have achieved impressive academic results, which is a testament to the talent, experience and “fire” of enthusiasm of the young teacher who is devoted to the career of “sowing seeds” of talent.
She confided about the opportunity to leave her hometown Lam Dong, traveling thousands of kilometers to be attached to2G Educationand the "blood and bone" experiences to be able to possess an impressive academic and teaching record; along with the "extremely cool" foreign language learning method for young people.

Two years ago, when the pandemic was complicated, Emily was struggling to find purpose and joy in life.
But then, I realized that "when one door closes, another opens" and I have to appreciate more, enjoy the happiness I have instead of trying to conquer a higher peak because "today is a gift".

From then on, instead of “confining” herself in a narrow space, Emily changed, starting her journey to find happiness by meeting new people and exploring new horizons. The opportunity to return to Vinh city started from there…
I thought it was just a chance encounter on the journey to explore limits and challenge myself, to enrich my experience, but Vinh city - a friendly land, where people are energetic, sincere and2G Educationis where my heart is anchored.

In particular, Vinh - a small city is in great need of highly qualified English teachers, so Emily chose this place to continue her special "mission".
Thanks to the "common home"2G Educationand a team of young, eager-to-learn staff have helped Emily develop a great love for this land. There are outstanding individuals such as Vincent (Hai That) - a long-time friend, also the CEO of 2G, who has always accompanied and shared the educational vision; creating opportunities for young people in small cities of Vietnam to study with a team of highly qualified teachers, solid experience and skills.

Not only possessing a systematic training system, 2G also creates an "open" educational environment, where teachers are free to be creative and students are free to experience reality with many interesting playgrounds such as: English speaking contest, international summer camp, presentation contest, English storytelling, IELTS workshop, career guidance... models equivalent to large educational institutions in big cities.

That is the spirit of learning and overcoming difficulties of you guys. Emily thinks that for Nghe An people, one of the biggest difficulties that you have to overcome is that the local dialect is quite heavy, so speaking English takes more time to practice than other regions, but many of you have achieved surprising learning results, especially students of Phan Boi Chau High School such as Nguyen Tu Linh with IELTS overall 8.5 or Binh Minh IELTS 7.5 and Anh Phuong 7.0 class IE 3.07. Always learning and being open to learning from their teachers, you have achieved remarkable achievements.
Emily was also particularly impressed when in 2021, 2G had more than 100 students achieving IELTS 7.0-8.5. Receiving that good news, as a teacher who always "stands side by side" with the students, my heart was filled with joy and happiness like a person who sows seeds to reap sweet fruit. For me, it is also a source of pride when the knowledge, experience and skills of learning foreign languages that I want to convey have "touched" the students; helping young people in Nghe An to be more confident and courageous to integrate into the generation of global citizens.

There is a quote by William A. Warrd that I quite like: "The average teacher only knows how to tell, the good teacher knows how to explain, the outstanding teacher knows how to illustrate, the great teacher knows how to inspire". Because today's society has a lot of information, there are many things that attract young people, so my task is to somehow inspire learning and new, interesting things in learning English, thereby creating motivation for students to study.
I design the lesson using the “blended learning” technique which is interactive and tells learning experiences, such as language practice examples, to create excitement in the lesson. To have a lesson with such a unique style, teachers also have to work a lot before and after, so I hope you will appreciate it and make more effort to study.

Since I was in primary and secondary school, I have had a great love for Foreign Languages and English as an instinct. Emily always tries many different ways of learning and until now still tries to implement many different ways of conveying learning experiences to her students. And I have come up with 2 important things to keep in mind when taking the Speaking test:

One is:In theory, when speaking, there must be idioms, butDO NOT ABUSEit, especially linking words, fillers (well, uh, let me see see see). Remember that idioms are just ingredients to help your speaking sound more natural, provided you use them correctly and adequately.
Two is: UNDERSTAND YOUR OWN STRENGTHS. Many people are good at telling a story, others like to talk about their hobbies. Like me, after a while of trying out different types of Speaking, I realized that my forte is critical analysis, so I applied it without following any pattern. Only when you exploit your strengths can you be confident and shine.

Besides teaching, I am extremely passionate about traveling and writing. I am planning to travel across Vietnam and write content for my page: “Go with Emily” about traveling this year, combined with the experience of “being a digital nomad” full-time.

Emily hopes that this small and lovely page will be a bridge to help many foreigners learn about the culture and interesting destinations in Vietnam. And this is also a channel for young people to study, exchange, and interact to improve their foreign language skills. “Go with Emily” will be a small step on her “thousand-mile journey” of sowing good seeds; with the wish to add more love and inspiration to learn foreign languages to more and more young people.
Emily always keeps in mind to try her best when she is young, go to many places, learn many new things, meet many people, commit and experience... to grow up!
