Information from the People's Committee of Ky Son district, from 10:00 p.m. on October 1, 2022 to 6:00 a.m. on October 2, 2022, in Muong Xen town and Ta Ca commune, there was a very heavy thunderstorm, with a measured rainfall of nearly 115 mm, causingflash floodand local flooding of many houses and offices in the area.

Preliminary information from the leaders of Ky Son district and people of Ta Ca commune, as of 10:30 on October 2, flash floods have killed 1 child in Son Ha village, Ta Ca commune due to a collapsed house. 3 houses in Binh Son village, Ta Ca commune were swept away; 50 houses in Binh Son village, Ta Ca commune and block 1 of Muong Xen town were flooded, many of which were severely flooded. In addition, many valuable assets of the people were swept away by the flood.

Agencies: Political Center, Agricultural Service Center, District People's Committee Office, Fatherland Front and organizations, Enforcement Team, District Party Committee, District People's Committee... were also heavily flooded.

Heavy rains and floods caused flooding and landslides on many sections of the road from Muong Xen town to Tay Son, damaging Son Ha spillway bridge in Ta Ca commune.
