On average, I sell about 300 kg of meat per day to housewives, restaurants, and wholesale to other traders.”

A month ago, people mainly bought sausages and pork ham, but now they have switched to processed beef products to change their taste.”

Mr. Ngo Duc Quynh, Deputy Director of the Veterinary Department, said: “The process of checking livestock health and controlling slaughter is always supervised by quarantine officers. Cows are imported and kept for clinical examination of health signs and origin, then slaughtered. When taking meat, traders are issued a receipt for slaughter control fees to prove the origin. However, to ensure health, consumers must choose fresh, delicious meat with clear origin and quarantine. In addition, localities also need to strengthen disease control, and functional agencies need to monitor and inspect trading, transportation and slaughtering activities in the area.”
