Ford Focus revealed - threatening Mazda3

Ford has just released the first images of the new generation Focus hatchback in the European market through a short video. Different from the masculine look of the old generation, the 2019 Focus's design is softer.

Expected to be officially launched on April 10, 2018, the 2019 Ford Focus has newly designed headlights with horizontal LED positioning strips, reminiscent of Volvo models. The taillights are thinner and more stylish than the previous version.

There is no information yet regarding the powertrain of the new Focus. According toAutoevolution, Ford's hatchback modelin the European marketThe Focus is likely to be powered by a 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine and a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel. Ford insiders say an eight-speed automatic transmission will be available on the 2019 Focus.

In addition to the hatchback, the new Focus has a sporty RS version and a larger wagon variant. The car for the US market is manufactured in China. In the market, the Ford Focus competes with rivals such as Honda Civic, Kia Forte (K3), Hyundai Elantra. The current generation is priced from 18,000 USD in the US.

Ford Focus was once a popular name in Vietnam but sales have declined in the past few years. Korean cars are increasingly popular thanks to their youthfulness and competitive prices.
