More than 1,000 people in border commune receive medical care
(Baonghean.vn) - The volunteer doctors association from Hanoi capital came to Bac Ly commune, Ky Son district to examine and provide free medicine to people and carry out many other practical volunteer activities.
Implementing the program "Joining hands for community health - Ky Son - Nghe An's affection", on June 23, the Association of volunteer doctors from Hanoi capital in collaboration with a number of charitable organizations and individuals organized free medical examinations, provided free medicine and provided health consultation for more than 1,000 poor people and policy families in Bac Ly commune, Ky Son district.

The volunteer group consisted of 98 people, including volunteers and 58 doctors and medical staff. The group organized free medical examinations and medicines, as well as health consultations, propaganda on prevention of social evils, sexually transmitted diseases, contraception, family planning, and disease prevention for officials and people in the entire Bac Ly commune; donated medicines, medical supplies and loudspeakers to units in Bac Ly commune with a total value of 190 million VND.

In addition to meaningful volunteer activities, the delegation also visited, presented gifts and had cultural and artistic exchanges with officers and soldiers of My Ly Border Guard Station. The delegation also presented Bac Ly Commune People's Committee, Bac Ly Primary School, and My Ly Border Guard Station each with a karaoke player to contribute to the cultural and artistic activities of officers, employees, and students in the commune.
