After nearly 6 years of implementation, the Hung Nguyen District Youth Park project was completed and put into use at the end of February 2023. In addition to contributing to changing the appearance and urban architectural space of the district center, this is also a place for cultural, physical education, sports, and entertainment activities for local youth and people.
According to the Deputy Secretary of the District Youth Union - Vo Thi Hien Ly, currently, the District Youth Union has deployed a number of items such as volleyball and badminton courts and plans to connect and organize a number of cultural, physical education and sports activities throughout the district, creating a useful playground, improving the lives and spirits of young people in particular and the people in general, promoting the effectiveness of the project.
Last February, the project to Preserve and Promote Soviet Values - Nghe Tinh also solved the "bottleneck" when the last households along National Highway 46 relocated to clear the land for the project. Items in the project such as: Soviet Nghe Tinh Monument and relief; ceremony stage and garden, monument yard; lighting and water supply system; fence, parking lot, etc., are currently being urged by the District People's Committee to speed up the progress of contractors. It is expected that by the end of May 2023, the project will be basically completed.
According to the report of the District Investment and Construction Project Management Board, in addition to completing the Youth Park project, the project to upgrade irrigation and drainage canals and intra-field roads in Hung Trung commune, along with the project to Preserve and promote Soviet - Nghe Tinh values, is also being implemented.
Besides, the district is also completing a number of historical, cultural and spiritual relics and works, standardizing the school system, medical stations, cultural houses, etc.
Currently, the district is simultaneously implementing 10 projects. Of these, 5 projects are in the process of completing procedures to prepare for investment. 5 projects are under construction with a total investment of nearly 200 billion VND: including the project of the District Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee headquarters; the road connecting National Highway 46A with Road 542C through Hung Dao commune; the road connecting National Highway 46 with Road 542B in Hung Thinh commune and Le Xuan Dao road in Hung Thong commune; the inter-commune road in the alluvial area of Long Xa commune and Xuan Lam commune; the renovation and upgrading of Nguyen Truong To road, from Hung Yen Bac commune to Hung Trung commune.
Mr. Le Pham Hung - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee, said: Hung Nguyen is determined to complete the new rural district by the end of 2023. Therefore, one of the key contents that the Party Committee, government and political systems from the district to the grassroots level focus on is to remove obstacles in site clearance, mobilize resources to invest in building infrastructure, especially works and projects to complete the criteria of a new rural district.
Hung Nguyen district has 19 national and provincial highways with a total length of nearly 117km. These routes are connected to the district administrative center and communes and towns, meeting convenient traffic conditions, contributing to creating a new vitality for Hung Nguyen homeland.
However, the rate of district roads meeting the new planning standards is only 71%. To complete the traffic criteria, Hung Nguyen district is mobilizing resources to invest in building and upgrading 10 roads with a total investment of 120 billion VND.
In 2022 alone, the district coordinated with the Department of Transport to complete the maintenance and repair of provincial road 542B in Hung Thinh commune and provincial road 542C through Long Xa, Hung Tan communes and Hung Nguyen town; maintain and repair many district roads through Hung Nghia, Long Xa, Hung Tay, and Hung Loi communes.
Currently, in the area, some district roads through the communes of Hung My, Hung Nghia, Hung Dao, Hung Thanh, Hung Phuc, Hung Tan, Hung Yen Bac, Hung Trung and the rescue road combined with the high-tech agricultural zone in the alluvial plain of Long Xa commune are also being focused on maintenance.
At this time, Hung Nguyen is mobilizing resources to implement projects to renovate and upgrade irrigation works and natural disaster prevention such as: Project to renovate and upgrade the pumping station and canal system of Hung Linh commune; project to repair and upgrade Le Xuan Dao irrigation canal; repair and upgrade the river dike system of Hung Dao commune; renovate and upgrade the system of station houses, canals and intra-field roads of Giap Lang pumping station, Hung Yen Bac commune; handle landslides on Ram mountain, Ray mountain, Hung Yen Nam commune and Ho Lo mountain, Xuan Lam commune.
To date, 100% of communes in the district have met new rural standards, including 3 communes meeting advanced new rural standards. This is the driving force for Hung Nguyen district to strive to complete the new rural district standards by the end of 2023.
