Indonesia struggles to contain disease outbreak after earthquake
An earthquake struck Indonesia, destroying the airport terminal, but an air traffic controller remained calm and brave enough to guide the plane to take off in time.
According to local police, there are no more survivors under the rubble in the city of Palu, which was hit by a 7.5 magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami with waves reaching up to 6 meters high on September 28.
Amid high temperatures and frequent rains in Palu, Indonesian police are making every effort to clear the rubble due to concerns about the outbreak of post-earthquake diseases.

The city has been unable to function as usual in recent days due to limited fuel supplies. Fuel supplies transported by police from other cities have arrived in Palu as planned, but heavy machinery is still having difficulty operating.
Palu police added that they have tried to complete the cleanup of the rubble within three days but it seems very difficult to achieve the goal. Meanwhile, the city's residents who had to leave their homes to take refuge are still very worried because aftershocks continue to occur and destroy what remains.
In Donggala, another city that was also severely damaged by the earthquake and tsunami, electricity and water supplies have been cut off. It is expected that supplies will only be restored within the next two weeks./.
