Seeing the couple arguing, Mr. Ro Mah Doan (38 years old, the neighbor's brother-in-law) ran over to stop them. Angry at Mr. Ro Mah Doan's attempt to stop him, Kot took an iron bar and hit the victim, causing him to be seriously injured and unconscious.
Although the victim was rushed to the hospital immediately, he died before arriving at the hospital. After beating Mr. Ro Mah Doan, K'so Kot threw the iron rod into a lake near his house and fled.
Informed by local people, Krong Buk District Police arrived at the scene, handled the incident and organized a siege to arrest the suspect.
