The growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated at 9.08%; Budget revenue is estimated at VND 20,350 billion, exceeding the estimate by 35.7%; Total export turnover is estimated at USD 2.49 billion, up 2.55%, exceeding the 5-year plan target (2021-2025) for the second consecutive year; For the first time, Nghe An is among the top 10 localities attracting the largest FDI in the country, with a total newly granted and adjusted capital as of November 30, 2022 of USD 939.45 million; The province's economic scale ranks 12th in the country.


The work of building new rural areas continues to receive attention and direction. In 2022, 10 communes will meet new rural standards, 22 communes will meet advanced new rural standards, and 4 communes will meet model new rural standards; Do Luong and Dien Chau districts are urgently completing documents to submit to the Central Government for appraisal of districts meeting new rural standards. It is expected that by the end of 2022, the whole province will have 309/411 communes meeting new rural standards; 42 communes meeting advanced new rural standards; 06 communes meeting model new rural standards; 9 district-level units will complete the task of building and meeting new rural standards.

Nghe An's Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) in 2021 is among the 15 provinces and cities with the highest index in the country; The Public Administration Reform Index (Par Index) in 2021 ranked 17/63 provinces and centrally-run cities (up 1 rank compared to 2020 and the highest rank ever); The Satisfaction Index of Administrative Services (SIPAS) increased by 15 ranks (from 48/63 to 35/63).


The comprehensive quality of education is affirmed, in the 2022 high school graduation exam results, Nghe An ranked 20th, up 14 places compared to 2021. Continuing to maintain the achievements of key education quality, in the top 5 localities leading the country in the number of excellent students at national, regional and international levels.


Reopen tourism activities and welcome international tourists under new normal conditions and successfully organize tourism stimulus conferences in 2022. The total number of tourists for the year is estimated at 6.79 million, 2.59 times higher than in 2021; of which the number of overnight guests is estimated at 4.45 million, 2.46 times higher. Tourism revenue is estimated at VND 5,670 billion, 4.08 times higher than in 2021.
