In the field of medical examination and treatment, hospitals and medical centers have successfully completed two tasks of ensuring disease prevention, preventing cases from occurring in hospitals, while ensuring good medical examination and treatment for people in the province as well as localities in the region. In the first 6 months of 2021, medical facilities in the province examined more than 2.8 million people, treated nearly 340,000 inpatients, and performed nearly 64,000 surgeries of all kinds... In the field of food hygiene and safety, the consultation on the development of regulatory documents and inspections were carried out well; no food poisoning incidents occurred.
There are still many difficulties and limitations.
At the conference, delegates and participating points focused on analyzing difficulties and problems to determine directions, tasks, and propose solutions to complete assigned tasks in 2021. Accordingly: The source of investment funding for health care has not met the demand, especially the funding for the Health - Population Target Program. People's needs are increasing in both quantity and quality of services, causing health care costs to increase very rapidly. The budget has increased but the increase is still low, so it has not met basic spending requirements.

The quality of medical examination and treatment and the development of new techniques in some medical examination and treatment facilities are still limited. The transfer of techniques from higher levels to lower levels has not been implemented much. The application of information technology in medical examination and treatment, in the direction and operation of many hospitals and medical units is not complete and not really effective; State management of private medical and pharmaceutical practice still faces many difficulties, is not proactive in following long-term orientation, and is still passive.
