Ranked 2nd in this year's exam is Nguyen Anh Khoa - Class 9E, Quang Tien High School (Thai Hoa town), taking the exam to enter Thai Hoa High School) with 28.55 points.

Third place is Nguyen Ha Phuong - Class 9E, Dang Thai Mai Secondary School (Vinh city), taking the entrance exam to Thai Lao High School with 28.5 points.

The last two positions in the top 5 candidates with the highest exam scores are both students from Do Luong district with 28.4 points. They are Dao Tu Anh - Class 9A, Kim Dong Secondary School and Dinh A Na - Class 9A, Ly Nhat Quang Secondary School. Both of these candidates are taking the exam to enter Do Luong 1 High School.

Regarding the entrance exam to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, after the department announced the results, the valedictorian of the specialized subject was also "revealed".
