Nghe An trains in applying artificial intelligence in population work
On the morning of August 22, Nghe An Department of Health organized a training conference on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in population and development work, with the participation of more than 350 population officials and civil servants in the province and units under the department.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Van Nam - Deputy Director of the Department of Health emphasized that in the context of strong digital transformation, the application ofartificial intelligence(AI) into the fieldpopulationis an inevitable trend, contributing to the modernization of management, data analysis and forecasting of population fluctuations by age, gender and region.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Nam, AI not only helps build intervention models suitable for each locality, detect and give early warnings of gender imbalance at birth, but also supports the automation of reporting, statistics, and monitoring of population indicators. In particular, this technology also contributes to personalizing communication activities, reproductive health care counseling and family planning, improving the quality and effectiveness of population work.

Nghe An is a province with a large population, large area, and diverse regions, so it requires management work to strongly shift from manual to digital, from experience to data analysis, taking advantage of modern tools such as AI to improve decision-making efficiency.
At the training course, the trainees were introduced by Ms. Mai Thi Lan Anh - Founder of AGI to the following topics: Overview and trends of AI application in population work; practice using AI to support report writing, document drafting, data analysis; AI application in planning, record management and forecasting population change trends; skills in designing communication content using AI.
