US Congressman: Electing Russian Major General as Interpol Director is Like “Letting a Fox Into a Chicken Coop”

"Interpol, if it chooses Major General Alexander Prokopchuk as its new director, will be like letting a fox into a chicken coop," the document published on Senator Roger Vicker's website reads.
According to the co-signatories, Russia uses Interpol to spy on accounts and harass political opponents, and Mr Prokopchuk supports this. “For these reasons, we call on all 192 members… to vote against Mr Prokopchuk,” the petition reads.
