| Kelimutu, Indonesia:Kelimutu is the name given to three lakes of different colors located atop a volcano in Kelimutu National Park. The water color in the lakes often changes unpredictably from blue, green, red to white or black. Local people have given the lakes different names and believe they are resting places for departed souls. The lake on the west side of the volcano is said to be home to good spirits, while the other two are for evil spirits.
