| The "Exemplary Female Propagandist" contest was held in Ha Huy Tap ward (Vinh City). |
It seems to have become a tradition that every year, Ha Huy Tap ward (Vinh City) dedicates a special day to honoring women, exemplary grandmothers, mothers, and sisters of the ward. This is the Conference to commend women who meet the "4 standards," to honor "Capable Mothers, Filial Children," and "Outstanding Single Women"... Each woman has a different story, but they are all inspiring examples of resilience and enthusiasm in the ward and neighborhood activities, and are exemplary women in the movement to build warm and happy families. One such example is Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Dinh from Yen Hoa neighborhood, whose husband passed away early, leaving her to raise three successful children alone. Her eldest child graduated from the Academy of Finance and has a stable job; her second child graduated from the Talented Engineers program, Faculty of Information Technology, Hanoi University of Technology... And her youngest son, while still in high school at Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School, was admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam and received a scholarship to study in New Zealand. We see the exemplary actions of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Cuc from Block 11. At 78 years old, she is a role model in all movements, actively and enthusiastically participating in association activities, and her children are all successful. Another example is the resilience of severely wounded veteran Dang Thi Ly from Block 7. Despite having over 81% disability and her husband also being a special-category wounded veteran requiring frequent emergency care, she consistently fulfills her duties as a wife, mother, and exemplary Party member. For many consecutive years, she has participated in association activities, overseeing cultural work in the block and serving as the Executive Committee member of the Elderly Association…
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thai Ha, Head of the "Women with 4 Standards" Club in Block 15, Ha Huy Tap Ward, shared: Block 15 is a unique block, with more than one-third of the women being small traders doing business in the markets. Previously, before the club was established, the activities of the branch mainly focused on a few key topics as directed by higher authorities. Since the establishment of the club with many rich and beneficial activities, the content of the meetings is closely related to reality, and the awareness of the women has been significantly raised. Through this, women are educated to do good and live well, become more confident and take control of their lives, building prosperous and happy families. More than 90% of families in the block have been recognized as Cultural Families.
Over the past 10 years, Dien Chau district has established 789 "Happy Family" clubs with more than 18,000 members. Through activities focusing on scientific parenting skills, moral education, lifestyle, building happy families, and preventing domestic violence, women have gained a forum to exchange and share experiences in building happy families and fostering close and friendly communities.
Our ancestors had a saying, "Men build houses, women build homes," and women, regardless of circumstances, play a crucial role in building prosperous, progressive, and happy families. They are the keepers of the flame of family happiness. In the past five years alone, over 50,000 women in the province have been recognized with the title "Excellent in Public Service, Competent in Household Management," and 50% of women have met the standards of the emulation movement "Women Actively Studying, Working Creatively, and Building Happy Families."
The Provincial Women's Union has many activities aimed at "Mobilizing and supporting women in building happy and sustainable families." The Union regularly coordinates with relevant sectors to disseminate information, raise awareness, and enhance women's responsibility in building families, complying with laws and policies on marriage and family, and gender equality; preserving and promoting the positive values of Vietnamese families. Simultaneously, the Union directs and guides the Women's Unions in districts, cities, and towns to encourage members to register for building "four-standard families," linked to the emulation movements "Women actively studying, working, creating, and building happy families," the campaign to build "five no's and three clean's" families, the movement "All people unite to build a cultured life in residential areas," and the campaign "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh"...
Providing more practical and comprehensive support for women is essential to protecting the stability and development of each family, making a significant contribution to social progress. Creating conditions for women to effectively fulfill their roles as wives, mothers, workers, and good citizens... provides motivation and confidence to build families that are "prosperous, equal, progressive, and sustainably happy."
