

When we mentioned one of the fundamental factors behind the TH milk brand, Mr. Dang Hoang Bao - Party Secretary of TH Milk Food Joint Stock Company recalled the Conference on "Solutions to promote the development of new party members in private enterprises" (the conference organized by Nghia Dan District Party Committee in 2022).
At the conference, Mr. Bao presented some experiences in Party building work of the Party Committee of TH Milk Food Joint Stock Company. He opened with a highlight: First of all, those doing Party work need to understand the common psychology of workers in private enterprises. They are not under pressure to orient the company's business policies and methods. They also do not think they have to be Party members when their main job is to work and create products. Their practical thinking is that they are the ones who directly work and enjoy the products of their labor provided by the company.

So what should Party building workers do in an environment where the majority are workers? And it is this workforce that creates the machine from production to the product that the company is aiming for.
The answer would be: Party members need to make workers understand that “if you are a party member, you will work in an environment where the majority are workers. At that time, party members will be role models of labor and creativity to be the backbone for workers from clusters, teams to farms… to promote their labor and creativity to achieve the company's business goals”. This is considered the first basic “segment” in the work of building and developing new party members at TH Milk Food Joint Stock Company.
The second “segment” is like the glue that binds the workers who are party members to the workers who are not party members. Here, they understand the daily thoughts and future aspirations of the workers who are not party members. From there, the party members help the workers understand the mind and position of the two words “party members” in studying and training to improve themselves and the products they produce.

The third “segment” is knowing how to select highly qualified managers to enlighten non-party members to join the Party. This will be a factor contributing to the company's role as a socio-political organization, trade union and youth union; creating a dialogue channel between business leaders and employees to cooperate for a common goal.
From these three “segments”, Mr. Bao said that “the destination of the work of building and developing party members is no longer an obstacle”. He gave some basic figures: “TH Dairy Food Joint Stock Company was established at the end of 2009. In 2011, the Party Committee of the Company was established. Up to now, the Party Committee has 8 Party cells and 150 Party members. For ten consecutive years, the Party Committee of the Company has been assessed by the Party Committee of Nghia Dan district as having fulfilled its tasks well”.


When the Company's Party Committee was established, it had only 7 Party cells and 52 permanent Party members. 12 years later, the Party Committee enrolled 98 new Party members. Mr. Bao did not hide the difficulties in the first few years when the three segments were not "running" evenly, so the destination was not convincing. But since 2020, the work of building and developing new Party members has been recognized with admirable results. For example, in 2023, 14 Party members were admitted. Or, in the 2 years of 2022-2023, 80% of the general directors of TH's projects nationwide and abroad were admitted to the Party. Or up to now, 70% of the company's department and division managers are Party members. This result is considered a strong mark of Party building work from 2011 to present at TH.
We want to know what initial difficulties the Party building work here encountered? Mr. Bao confided: “The Party Committee was established 2 years after the company was established, so during this period, the comrades in the Party Committee Executive Committee were devoting their efforts and intelligence to the development of the company. This is the reason why, in the early years, the work of developing new Party members was not really strong. But now the direction of change is very clear.”

According to Mr. Bao, the change here is not only the number of new party members increasing every year, but also the work efficiency and product quality showing many positive signs. That is when party members gain political and social knowledge through work interactions and communication relationships. From here, they go to the grassroots with more confidence. Their ability to organize and handle work is more scientific. Mass mobilization work is therefore also more flexible and profound. This is a factor that helps party members understand that workers should promote their role and abundant capacity. Mr. Bao commented that when party members have a strong mentality, their "voice" has the power to influence workers, including people from ethnic minority areas, rural areas and even Catholic areas that they come into contact with from Nghe An province to Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen, Dak Lak... This is the time to create interaction between party members who know how to promote efficiency and workers who understand the superiority of becoming party members. “The story of 70% of managers becoming party members is the presence of interaction to create economic efficiency,” Mr. Bao emphasized.


As the company has grown, the TH milk market has expanded in scale and new stature. From the Nghia Dan center, TH is present in the provinces of Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Thanh Hoa, An Giang, Kon Tum and Russia. These "satellites" are continuing to build the TH milk brand. Here, we witnessed more interesting details in the work of building and developing new party members. That is, at the Agricultural Party Cell, Mr. Nguyen Ba Truong - Party Committee member, Head of the Corn Development and Purchasing Department said that two young party members of the Agricultural Department, due to their good work in mass mobilization in the corn planting project area, transferred corn planting science and technology, formed a joint venture cooperative group combined with the company's support for farmers, helping people along the two banks of the Ca River and Hieu River in the districts of Nam Dan, Do Luong, Anh Son, Tan Ky, Nghia Dan, Thai Hoa, Quy Hop in 2003 to sell 140,000 tons of corn to TH, earning 200 billion VND.
Mr. Truong said: “The Agriculture Party Cell has 20 party members out of a total of more than 100 staff members. If the number of new party members increases further, mass mobilization work and technology transfer are better done, combined with appropriate support from the company, in 2024, farmers will definitely sell more corn to TH than 140,000 tons.”

The admission of two directors: Nguyen Viet Thanh (Director of Dairy Farm Cluster No. 1) and Nguyen Quang Luyen (Director of Dairy Farm Cluster No. 2) brought an interesting experience to the Party building work here. Mr. Bao said that Farm Cluster No. 1 had 320 workers and 14 Party members and Farm Cluster No. 2 had 350 workers and 19 Party members, proving that both of these Party cells were not strong. Because they were not strong, Mr. Bao, on behalf of the Party Committee, spent more time participating in activities at these two Party cells. As a result, the two directors mentioned above were honored to join the Party.
Currently, 2 Party cells have 3 excellent workers preparing to attend the Party training course. Only 1 Party member is in the dairy farm cluster No. 3, which is currently operating together, so the company's Party Committee is focusing on Party building work, striving to gradually bring the farm cluster No. 3 up with other Party cells to adapt to TH's new business goals and tasks.
