Opening of the Spring Newspaper Reading Room 2008
(NAO) -This morning (January 25th), at the Nghe An Provincial Library, a large number of readers attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition and reading room for the Spring Festival of the Year of the Rat 2008, organized by the Provincial Library. This is also an annual cultural activity held every time Tet (Lunar New Year) comes around.
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony by Comrade Tran Duy Ngoan - Chairman of the Nghe An Journalists Association and Comrade Tran Anh Toi - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, readers of all ages were able to experience the spring atmosphere through a wide variety of newspapers and books in the reading room.
This year's Spring Newspaper Exhibition and Reading Room features all the Spring newspapers from the central government, local authorities, various sectors, and 65 provinces and cities nationwide. The provincial library also organized an exhibition and calligraphy writing by the Nghe An Han-Nom Club, introducing local history books and new books on the theme: "Celebrating the Party, celebrating Spring, celebrating the country's integration and development."
The Spring Newspaper Reading Room will welcome readers from January 25th to February 3rd, 2008 (which is the 27th day of the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Rat).
