(Baonghean) - Born into a poor family, growing up through many ups and downs, he understands better than anyone the plight of the poor. Therefore, when he has "food and property", he is willing to help those in more difficult circumstances than himself, support the poor to build houses, help with capital to do business...

Born in 1966 in a family of 8 siblings. Orphaned at the age of 8, Nguyen Van Tam (now Director of Tam Tai Construction and Transport Joint Stock Company, Tan Ky District, Nghe An) had a difficult childhood. After finishing high school, his family's difficult circumstances forced him to drop out of school and find a way to make a living. He went to the South and the North, working for hire and learning from others about "how to do business". In 1988, when he had capital in hand, he returned to his hometown (Nghia Binh Commune, Tan Ky) to open a shop and take on civil construction contracts in the locality.

In 2002, Tam Tai Construction and Transport Joint Stock Company, of which he was the Director, was established. “The reason I opened the company was first to develop my family’s economy, and then to have the opportunity to help the poor,” he confided. Therefore, when recruiting workers, he always creates conditions for people with difficult circumstances and families with preferential policies to join the company.

To help them work with peace of mind, for those in need, he lends them money to buy transportation, and gives them money to study to improve their qualifications and skills. For workers with special family circumstances, he regularly visits, encourages, and helps with material things. Currently, his company has 70 regular workers and about 300 seasonal workers, with an average monthly income of 2.5 million - 3 million VND/person.

Although it is a small company with not much profit, he still does charity work every year. Since 2002, when he first established the business, every year he has allocated a few million to help homeless single people in the locality, actively contributing to welfare funds initiated by his superiors. Especially since the beginning of 2004, every year he has spent about 100 million VND on charity; in the past 4 years, he has built 2 charity houses for poor households in Tan Ky, given hundreds of gifts, dozens of scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties, and supported tens of millions of VND for the District Association of Agent Orange Victims....

Sharing with all difficult and unfortunate situations is part of the life of businessman Nguyen Van Tam.
