Vietnam Book Day

The festival will take place on April 23 at the Temple of Literature with the theme "Reading for tomorrow".

On April 5, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a press conference on organizing the Vietnam Book Day 2011.

This idea originated from the initiative of the National Library of Vietnam, starting in 2005 and held annually to honor the reading culture that has spread throughout the public library system nationwide.

Publishers, book companies, book distributors, bookstores and many agencies and enterprises also organize activities to promote, honor and promote reading culture.

This year, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism invited a number of book businesses to join the Organizing Committee so that the program would have a more comprehensive view, attracting more attention from publishers, libraries and readers.

This is the first time the Vietnam Book Festival has been organized on a national scale, becoming a highlight and also the starting point for activities to enhance and honor reading culture.
