The problem of disguised gambling needs to be eradicated.

(Baonghean.vn)Recently, in the city, especially in front of universities and colleges, markets, and some guesthouses and hotels, a group of people have appeared with chess boards, offering to solve chess problems for money to passersby.

Chess boards are drawn on plastic or wooden boards, displaying various chess positions. For each game, a player pays 20,000 VND if they lose, while a winner receives 60,000 VND. This form of gambling attracts many participants, with students making up the majority.

In reality, this is a "gambling scam," a fraud perpetrated by some greedy individuals. The "victims" are students and gullible passersby. In the first few rounds, players always win, but after luring their "prey" into the trap, the organizers of the gambling tables "turn the tables around," and many lose hundreds of thousands of dong in this game of chance.

The recreational game of Chinese chess is being distorted into a form of gambling with high stakes, taking place openly. We earnestly hope that the relevant authorities will intervene and crack down on this disguised form of gambling.
