National costume show

(Baonghean) -Recently, Nghe An province organized the first Ethnic Costume Performance Contest. This is an activity to implement the project to preserve and develop the culture of Vietnam's ethnic minorities until 2020.

The performance was attended by 26 contestants, aged 18 to under 40, from the Thai ethnic groups (Black Thai, White Thai), Mong, Kho Mu, O Du, Tho, Dan Lai... from the districts of Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Tan Ky, Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Que Phong.

After 3 rounds of competition in festival costumes, daily life costumes and understanding of ethnic culture, the Organizing Committee selected 13 representative contestants to participate in the performance at the 2nd Ethnic Minority Cultural and Art Festival in Quy Hop district and then participate in the national ethnic costume performance competition in Hanoi capital at the end of November 2011.
