Donating a charity house to a family of former Youth Volunteers

(Baonghean) -Responding to the Youth Year movement, on the afternoon of September 25, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam in coordination with the Quynh Luu District Youth Union (Nghe An) organized the donation of a charity house and 50 gifts to the families of former Youth Volunteers in difficult circumstances and poor students who have overcome difficulties.

The charity house was given to Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, in Hamlet 3, Quynh Lam Commune. Ms. Phuong is a former Youth Volunteer, enlisted in the army in 1969, returned home in difficult circumstances, lonely and homeless, having to live in an old dilapidated house. With the support of the District Fund for the Poor with 6 million VND, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam with 20 million VND and the Youth Union of Quynh Luu 4 High School with 10 million VND, in addition, with the attention and help of the Party Committee, the government and the contribution of hundreds of working days from the commune's Youth Union, in April 2011, the charity house for Ms. Phuong was started to be built with an area of ​​nearly 60m2, including 2 rooms, tiled roof, total value of more than 60 million VND.

On this occasion, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam also presented 50 gifts to families of former Youth Volunteers in difficult circumstances and poor students who overcame difficulties, each gift worth 200,000 VND. Although the gift was not large, it showed the heart of the young generation towards those who contributed to the revolution, contributing to encouraging families of former Youth Volunteers to live better, helping students in difficult circumstances to strive to study well.
