She herds cattle while also trafficking drugs.
(Baonghean.vn) On October 27th, information from the Investigation Agency of Tuong Duong District Police (Nghe An province) indicated that they had just arrested an individual who exploited the pretext of herding cattle to collude with criminals in the illegal transportation and sale of narcotics.
Accordingly, at around 8:00 AM on October 5th, Luong Thi Loi (born in 1968) was tending cattle in the Pu Lom mountain area, in Thach Duong village, Thach Giam commune. There, a middle-aged man approached Loi and enticed her to join a drug trafficking ring. Dazzled by the potential profit, Luong Thi Loi accepted one packet of heroin and two ecstasy pills to sell retail.
On October 7th, two young men from the same village, named Toai and Can, came to Loi to buy drugs. She sold them one packet and one ecstasy pill. She hadn't had time to sell the remaining drugs before the investigating authorities discovered them. After a period of surveillance and gathering sufficient evidence, the investigating authorities issued an arrest warrant for Luong Thi Loi. A search of her residence yielded three packets of heroin, one ecstasy pill, and all the evidence related to the case.
The investigating agency has now completed the file and proceeded with the temporary detention of Luong Thi Loi to facilitate the investigation and prosecution of the case, while also expanding the investigation to include related individuals.
