Quy Chau: A student drowned at Tat Ngoi waterfall

(Baonghean) -At around 2:00 p.m. on November 10, a tragic drowning incident occurred at Tat Ngoi waterfall in Chau Hanh commune, Quy Chau district.

The victim was Luong Van Le, born in 1995, an 11th grade student at C13, Quy Chau District Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities. Le is the second child of Luong Van Diep and Ha Thi Tin, who live in Bong 2 village, Chau Thuan commune.

Witnesses said: on the afternoon of November 10, Le and 6 friends went swimming at Tat Ngoi waterfall. Due to carelessness, Le slipped and fell into the water, his head got stuck in the rock and died.

According to local people, in the Tat Ngoi waterfall area, during holidays and Tet, people often gather to visit and travel in large numbers. It is worth mentioning that almost every year there are a few cases of drowning, but people are still careless, leading to tragic deaths.
