Anh Son Police: Arrested in inter-district motorbike theft case
(Baonghean) - On December 9, 2011, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung - Head of Anh Son District Police (Nghe An), said: The District Police Investigation Agency has just successfully discovered the case 711T on "motorcycle theft" that occurred in the area on November 16, 2011.
According to the police, at 10:00 a.m. on November 16, the Anh Son District Police on duty received a report from teacher Tran Thi Mai Oanh, working at Hoa Son Secondary School - Anh Son, reporting that a thief had just entered the school garage and stolen a Wave S motorbike with license plate 37Z9-0726. Immediately upon receiving the report, identifying this as one of the gangs that had committed motorbike thefts in the district in recent times, the unit's leaders and commanders took action, establishing the 711T Task Force to fight with the determination to quickly solve the case and eradicate this criminal gang, soon bringing it to justice.
Through professional reconnaissance measures, through screening, Phan Trong Nghia (born in 1974), residing in Hamlet 8, Hoa Son Commune, was identified as a drug addict with many unclear signs regarding time and finances. At the same time, the Investigation Agency also received reliable documents from the public as well as students and teachers of Hoa Son Secondary School. To serve the investigation, on December 7, the Investigation Police Agency issued an emergency arrest warrant for Phan Trong Nghia.

At the police station, with undeniable evidence, Nghia bowed his head and admitted his guilt. He confessed that at around 8:00 a.m., he took advantage of the school's negligence and broke into the garage of Hoa Son Secondary School, used a homemade lock breaker to break the lock and stole the above-mentioned car. After taking the car, Nghia drove to Con Cuong Town and pawned it at a pawnshop with 5,000,000 VND and used this money to buy drugs.
During the investigation, Nghia also confessed that he and his accomplices had committed four other motorbike thefts, including two thefts in Chi Khe commune, Con Cuong. All the stolen motorbikes were sold or pawned in Con Cuong and Tuong Duong districts to split the money and spend.
The investigation agency has seized 5 motorbikes as evidence of the case, and at the same time issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute the defendant for the act of "Theft of property".
