(Baonghean) -On the afternoon of December 20, the Steering Committee of the program "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in Nghe An province held a meeting to evaluate the results of 2 years of implementing the campaign and deploy tasks for 2012.

After more than 2 years of implementation, in general, all levels, sectors, Fatherland Fronts and organizations in the province have actively and seriously implemented the campaign. The campaign has had a positive impact on the whole society, helping consumers, agencies and organizations to be more fully aware of their responsibilities and consumer rights for domestically produced products and goods, thereby changing their attitudes and shopping and usage behaviors. The campaign has helped businesses and entrepreneurs in the province to be more fully and deeply aware of their responsibilities towards consumers, as well as towards the development of the province in the period of opening and integration. The Department of Industry and Trade has directed commercial centers, stores and supermarkets in Vinh city and the two towns of Cua Lo and Thai Hoa to prioritize the display and sale of products produced in the province and domestically. Regularly integrate the introduction of Vietnamese enterprises' products into the program of trade fairs in Vinh city and districts.

During the year, there were more than 45 booths of enterprises in the province, and more than 200 booths from other provinces displayed for sale. In 2011, Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade organized the first program to bring Vietnamese goods to the countryside in Tan Ky, Yen Thanh, Thanh Chuong districts... In addition, organizations, departments, and branches: Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Planning and Investment, the Front of mass organizations, press agencies, and districts also had many activities to effectively propagate the campaign.

However, at the meeting, the Steering Committee also acknowledged some shortcomings in the implementation process. The reason is partly due to the limited awareness of the campaign by some Party committees, authorities, fronts and organizations in the province, who do not clearly understand the importance, profound national significance as well as the great impact of the campaign in the trend of market economy and international economic integration, leading to subjective thinking, laxity, and little attention to the implementation of the campaign. Many opinions also said that it is necessary to strengthen market control, fight against smuggled goods, poor quality goods to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese goods to have a market to reach consumers, organize more activities to bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas...

In the coming time, the Provincial Steering Committee will focus on implementing a number of key tasks, including continuing to strengthen propaganda activities and informing the contents of the campaign to all classes of people, focusing on Conclusion Notice No. 264 of the Politburo, Implementation Guidance Notice No. 36 of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Plan 18 of the Central Steering Committee and Plan 33 of the Provincial Steering Committee on organizing the implementation of the campaign.
