Modest number!

(Baonghean) - After 10 years of implementing the policy of attracting high-quality human resources, our province has so far attracted 382 people, including 86 full-time university students volunteering to work in mountainous districts, 219 good students in Economics and Engineering, 50 excellent students, 24 masters in various fields, 2 doctors and 1 specialist I.

This number is indeed too modest compared to the number of excellent graduates, masters and doctors who are Nghe An's children trained every year. This makes many people wonder about the quality of attracting high-quality human resources when Nghe An is known as a "land of learning" with many talented and skilled people, but in 10 years it has only attracted 50 excellent students, 2 doctors, including a medical doctor specializing in early cancer detection, cancer diagnosis and treatment, and bone marrow transplant implementation at Nghe An Oncology Hospital. Regarding students trained abroad, it has only attracted 1 case of a master's degree in the French Republic to work in Vinh City.

Our province is aiming to become a fairly developed province in the Northern region by 2015 and a fairly developed province in the whole country by 2020; basically becoming an industrial province by 2020. Therefore, there is a great need for changes to create a breakthrough in mechanisms and policies as well as create a favorable environment to attract leading experts, highly qualified workers, and excellent students to return to their hometown to work, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
