(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Vo Minh Duc, Chief of the Office of the Nghe An Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, recently announced that the Committee has requested relevant departments, agencies, and traffic police forces to focus on implementing measures to ensure traffic safety and order during the Lunar New Year and other spring festivals.

Accordingly, functional forces such as the police, traffic inspectors, and urban inspectors will be on duty 24/7; patrols and inspections will be intensified on traffic sections and routes identified as "black spots" where accidents frequently occur; traffic flow will be directed and managed at points with high traffic density; and at the same time, traffic safety awareness campaigns will be widely promoted among the public, especially young people and students. Violations of regulations on preventing drunk driving and the issue of passenger vehicles stopping and parking illegally, causing traffic safety disruptions, will be resolutely dealt with.

For areas where Tet holiday goods are sold, the province has a plan to mobilize traffic police and traffic inspectors to guide businesses to designated areas, preventing street and sidewalk vendors from causing traffic congestion.
