Authorities busted an illegal gas refilling operation.

(Baonghean.vn) -At 10:30 AM on April 12, 2012, the Economic and Corruption Crime Investigation Police of Nghe An Province unexpectedly raided and caught red-handed a large-scale illegal gas refilling operation, seizing 180 mini gas cylinders, 2 large gas cylinders, and many other items.

The Phuong Dong establishment (No. 7, Phong Dinh Cang Street, Vinh City), owned by Le Thi Dong (50 years old, residing in Block 9, Ben Thuy Ward), was granted a business license to buy and sell liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in 2003. During the inspection, police discovered four rusty gas cylinders connected to a larger cylinder using a tray system with old connecting pipes.

All evidence was seized, including: 180 mini gas cylinders (220g/cylinder), of which 150 were empty and 30 were filled, along with 4 gas refilling tables with 4 nozzles, and tools such as scales, pliers, etc., used for refilling gas. Most of the gas cylinders had been used many times, and many were rusty. Each day, this facility refilled around 200 mini gas cylinders, selling them to students in the area for 5,000 VND per cylinder.

The police are currently finalizing the case file to prosecute the offender.
