The name "Phan Kinh Street" needs to be restored.

(Baonghean) - Alley B4, connecting Duy Tan Street to Dinh Le Street and running through An Vinh and Yen Vinh wards, Hung Phuc commune, Vinh City, was named Phan Kinh Street by the province and city in 2011. The people and various agencies and units, including the Environmental Protection Sub-Department, the Environmental Monitoring and Technical Center, and the Deposit Insurance Corporation, were extremely pleased that the alley was named after a prominent figure.

But strangely and ironically, when the Vinh City urban infrastructure management agency carried out its duties, they buried the signs at both ends of Alley B3. Thus, the original records for Phan Kinh Street indicated it as Alley B4, but now the signs have been assigned to Alley B3. The people and those in charge have repeatedly discussed and raised this issue with the authorities, but have only received the response: "Just leave it as it is for now, we'll figure it out later."

However, the matter doesn't end there. This year, the Law on Non-Agricultural Land and House Tax has changed. The tax rate is calculated per square meter for specific locations and streets. Therefore, land plots along Phan Kinh Street are taxed higher than those in Alley B3. Based on the Provincial People's Committee's decision, the Tax Authority announced a tax rate of 8.5 million VND/m2 for households along Phan Kinh Street (formerly B4). Meanwhile, land plots on Phan Kinh Street, mistakenly linked to Alley B3, are taxed at only 6.5 million VND/m2, causing public outrage.

We request that the relevant authorities promptly remove the Phan Kính sign that was "mistakenly" attached to Alley B3 and re-install it at the correct address in Alley B4 to ensure the street name matches both the official records and the actual address.
