(Baonghean.vn) –Faced with the situation of Phat Loc Son Trading Joint Stock Company organizing sand mining on Lam River in Hung Hoa Commune, causing environmental pollution and landslides along the riverbank, Vinh City People's Committee has requested this unit to immediately stop sand mining on Lam River.

The City People's Committee also requested the Vinh City Police to coordinate with the Hung Hoa Commune People's Committee to strengthen inspection, detection and prevention of sand transportation that affects the environment along the Lam River. At the same time, continue to request the Waterway Traffic Police Department to inspect and strictly handle illegal sand mining; Request Nghe Tinh Port Company Limited to use the land for the right purpose.

Although Vinh City People's Committee has actively intervened with specific measures, up to now Phat Loc Son Trading Joint Stock Company has not coordinated with local authorities to resolve the issue. It is recommended that the relevant agencies take strong measures to restore a clean living environment and the beauty of the Lam River road.
