Prime Minister directs to increase the use of electronic documents
In order to increase the use of electronic documents as an administrative reform activity, develop e-Government, and shift the working method from mainly paper-based to online working with electronic documents, the Prime Minister has just issued a Directive to increase the use of electronic documents in the activities of state agencies.

The Prime Minister requested ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, and People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to increase the use of electronic documents in the internal operations of each state agency. Specifically, state agencies from the level of affiliated units in ministries, from the level of departments, branches, sectors, districts and towns in localities and above must use the email system to exchange the following types of documents within each agency: Invitations to internal meetings; documents for meetings; documents for information and reporting; general notices of the agency; documents that need to be exchanged during the process of handling work; and gradually apply the email system widely to the commune and ward levels in localities. At the same time, the Prime Minister requested the implementation of digitization of documents and archives to serve the lookup, search and processing of information of cadres, civil servants and public employees online.
The Prime Minister also requested that cadres, civil servants and public employees in state agencies at all levels be responsible for strictly implementing the regulations of the agency in the use of electronic documents in work; use email boxes with the assigned .gov.vn domain name to exchange electronic documents in work; especially change working methods and habits, towards a modern, effective electronic working environment.
