Six key petroleum import enterprises to be inspected soon

From late May to early July 2012, inspection teams of the Ministry of Finance will conduct inspections and examinations of 6 key petroleum import enterprises as planned.

The six enterprises are Vietnam Oil Corporation, Petec Investment and Technical Trading Corporation, Dong Thap Petroleum Trading One Member Co., Ltd., Maritime Petroleum Trading Company, Vietnam Aviation Petroleum One Member Co., Ltd. and Thanh Le Import-Export Trading Corporation.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the inspection focuses on compliance with State regulations on price registration and factors forming gasoline and oil prices; determining the legality of agent remuneration payments by key enterprises, gasoline and oil importers and traders; compliance with tax laws at enterprises... The inspection period is expected to be 45 days.

This year, the State Audit also has plans to audit three key companies: Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation, Ho Chi Minh City Petroleum Company Limited and Military Petroleum Corporation.

It is known that at the end of 2011, in order to have more basis to perfect the policy mechanism for managing and operating petroleum products, the Ministry of Finance established teams to inspect the import price of petroleum at the Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation; Vietnam Oil Corporation and at key petroleum enterprises (including Ho Chi Minh City Petroleum One Member Co., Ltd. and Dong Thap Petroleum Trading One Member Co., Ltd.).

The inspection of the above mentioned petroleum terminals was also carried out according to the recommendation of the Petroleum Business Inspection Team in October 2011.
