Since the beginning of the year, the entire province has consolidated more than 940 militia units, including 480 militia units; the Military Commands of 480 communes, wards, and towns; and 160 military command units of agencies have been reorganized. The Provincial Military Command assigned its staff and 20 district-level military agencies to survey more than 1,000 enterprises eligible to establish self-defense forces, and 8 new self-defense units have been established. In the first six months of the year, military agencies at all levels organized 24 training courses on military and political work for the standing forces and militia, with nearly 3,400 key officials. For the militia, there are more than 1,600 commune-level officials including secretaries, chairmen, commanders, and deputy military commanders; and nearly 1,000 officials who are heads and deputy heads of self-defense units and mobile platoon leaders.
