Nghe An Literature and Arts Association opens art photo exhibition

(Baonghean.vn) - This morning (July 17), in Vinh City, the Nghe An Literature and Arts Association held the opening ceremony of the 2012 art photography exhibition. Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Nghe An Journalists Association, along with many photographers whose works participated and veteran photographers in the province.



Delegates view photo exhibition

Sponsored by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in terms of artistic expertise, after 4 months of launching, the Organizing Committee of the contest received 162 works from 33 authors in the province. The Organizing Committee sent the photo collection to Hanoi for the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists to judge and select photos for exhibition. As a result, the jury selected 85 works for exhibition, of which 11 works won prizes including: one First Prize, two Second Prizes, three Third Prizes and 5 Encouragement Prizes. The First Prize went to author Tu Thanh; 2 Second Prizes went to authors Thanh Hai, Duc Quang, 3 Third Prizes went to authors Xuan Nhuong, Minh Loc, Duc Quang; 5 Encouragement Prizes: Canh Yen 2 prizes, Xuan Nhuong, Ho Lan, Phan Van Toan Nghe An Newspaper.



Photographer Vu Canh, representative of the Vietnam Photography Association, presented the Certificate of Sponsorship to the Nghe An Literature and Arts Association.

In order to improve the quality of artistic photography, after the opening of the exhibition and awarding of prizes to the winning artists, a discussion was held to analyze and comment on the winning works, the unqualified works, the works selected for exhibition and the works that were rejected, the reasons and ways to overcome the shortcomings in the works. There were many opinions from experienced artists, managers and young creators who participated enthusiastically and achieved good results.
