September 15, 2012 15:38

Following the success of the four previous Literature Contests for 20-year-olds, on September 14, in Ho Chi Minh City, Tre Publishing House, Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association and Tuoi Tre Newspaper launched the 5th Literature Contest for 20-year-olds.

The 5th Literature Writing Contest for 20-year-olds has the theme: "Write about people, life, and aspirations of the most beautiful age, with the most dreams, concerns, and challenges, today's 20-year-olds."

The contest is organized by naming authors and works. The submitted works are in two genres: long stories and short story collections (at least six stories).

These are newly composed works, never published in the press, publishing media or works that have been published on online diaries (blogs).

Mr. Nguyen The Truat, Deputy Director of Tre Publishing House, Head of the Organizing Committee, said that this year the contest has many new features that carry the breath of modern life. The entries will be selected by the Organizing Committee to be printed in the 5th Literature of 20s bookcase and widely distributed; good works will be published in Tuoi Tre newspaper, the White Shirt anthology or printed on e-books.

In particular, readers will also have the opportunity to read the entries, vote by ballot or through the Literature of 20s mailbox.

The time for receiving entries starts from September 14, 2012 to March 24, 2014. The award announcement is expected to be on September 2, 2014./.
