Prosecution of illegal hunting of langurs in Cat Tien National Park

Dong Nai Province Police have just decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain two subjects to investigate the illegal hunting of a rare langur in the Cat Tien National Park area. The two suspects prosecuted for investigation are Phan Van Thuan Anh (27 years old) and Huynh Van Cu (47 years old, both residing in Hamlet 4, Ta Lai Commune, Tan Phu District).

Previously, on September 15, Phan Van Thuan Anh and Huynh Van Cu used homemade guns to enter Cat Tien National Park to hunt. Here, the two subjects shot and killed a langur weighing 2.7 kg, then the two subjects took the langur to sell. The investigation agency took samples of the langur for examination to determine what species of langur it was.
