Rectifying the development of telecommunications network infrastructure

(Baonghean) - Walking around Vinh City from the main roads to the alleys, you can see the scene of all kinds of wires (electric wires, telecommunication cables...) tangled like spider webs hanging on the same electric pole. This is the result of the rapid development of network operators while the infrastructure has not been invested in accordance with standards.

It is known that Viettel, FPT, Vinaphone networks... all rent electric poles from the Electricity industry to pull cable cars and subscriber sub-wires to connect the telecommunications network to households. The overlapping cable cars and sub-wires of the networks have been and are destroying the urban beauty, affecting network safety and traffic safety. During the heavy rains in early September, some power lines on Ngo Duc Ke and Nguyen Canh Chan streets caught fire, causing damage to state property and disrupting communications. A power line in Nghi Phu commune caught fire on September 6, killing a buffalo that was eating grass next to a power pole. This is just one of many telecommunications power line fires that have occurred in the city.

The development of network operators has brought many benefits to society. However, network operators need to cooperate, join hands to invest in building infrastructure, pulling and hanging cables according to standards and undergrounding cable lines in the area as Nghe An Telecommunications Industry did in 2005. Only then can we eliminate the current telecommunications spider webs hanging on the same electric pole of the Electricity Industry, contributing to making Vinh City increasingly clean, beautiful and civilized.
