According to a representative of Vietnam Airlines, there are more than 1,000 airline ticket sales points nationwide that are not agents of the airline, but those agents still hang signs or display the Vietnam Airlines logo.

The end of the year is approaching, which is also the time when the demand for airline tickets skyrockets. In Hanoi, especially in the Old Quarter, there are many airline ticket agents with logos and brands of airlines, most of which are the logo of Vietnam Airlines. However, what consumers may not know is that most of them are fake Vietnam Airlines agents.

Meanwhile, in reality, Vietnam Airlines has 422 official agents nationwide. These agents must also comply with specific, strict regulations of the airline. For example, they must have a fixed transaction location, a counter with a signboard according to Vietnam Airlines standards.

Currently, in addition to fake airline agent transaction points, a new type of online ticket sales scam has also appeared on the internet. These websites promise to provide cheap airfares with the aim of exploiting customers' personal information and credit card information. Through accessing and transacting on these fraudulent websites, customers are very likely to be scammed out of money or have their credit card information stolen.
