Technology of foreign fraud gangs
According to the investigation, a group of Chinese people entered Vietnam.
The victims they target are people in mainland China, Taiwan or overseas Chinese living in many Southeast Asian countries.
The above gang's method was to rent houses, villas... to create a "film studio" to scam. Initially, they called mainland China to approach rich people with bank accounts, then pretended to be police, tax officers, bank employees... to inform the victims that their accounts had been hacked, asking the victims to provide passwords - account numbers to help protect, block... After "stealing" data from the victims, they used tricks to steal all the money in the victims' accounts. To create trust, the scammers created sounds and noises right at the "film studio" such as police sirens, the sound of investigators reporting to their bosses...
It is known that to discover this gang, the Vietnamese police have exchanged information and coordinated the investigation with their Chinese and Taiwanese colleagues. According to the Ho Chi Minh City police, the number of victims of this gang is very large; the police are currently expanding the investigation and clarifying.
