Vietnamese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Laos visits and works with Military Region 4 Command

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning (November 5, 2012), comrade Nguyen Manh Hung - Deputy Head of the Central Foreign Affairs Committee, who was recently appointed by the President as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Laos, visited and worked with the Military Region 4 Command before going to Laos to carry out his duties.Receiving the Ambassador were Major General Vo Van Viet - Political Commissar of the Military Region; Major General Nguyen Chi Huong - Deputy Commander of the Military Region.

At the meeting, Major General Vo Van Viet and Major General Nguyen Chi Huong informed the Ambassador about the security, political situation, social order and safety in the Military Region; some outstanding results that the officers and soldiers of Military Region 4 have achieved in the past time. Among them, there is the coordination with the provinces of Laos that share the border with the provinces of the Military Region, ensuring political security, social order and safety along the border. In addition, the Party committees, authorities and people of Lao ethnic groups also created favorable conditions to help the Military Region's martyrs' remains collection teams to search for and collect the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos and bring them back to Vietnam.

On behalf of the Party Committee - Military Region Command, Major General Vo Van Viet presented flowers to congratulate comrade Nguyen Manh Hung on his new position, and hoped that the Ambassador would pay attention and create all conditions to help officers and soldiers of Military Region 4 successfully complete all assigned tasks.
