At the conference, delegates heard reports on the military and defense situation of 8 districts in cluster 2 including: Que Phong, Nghia Dan, Thai Hoa town, Dien Chau, Quy Hop, Yen Thanh, Quy Chau and Quynh Luu. In general, the military and defense work of the 8 districts in 2012 achieved remarkable results. The military command of the districts maintained the regime of "Safety in control, combat readiness", well organized the training and deployment tasks at the beginning of the year; the military recruitment work all met and exceeded the plan, 8/8 units built green-clean-beautiful regular barracks, continued to increase production and develop the barracks economy. Regarding military medicine, 99.9% of soldiers achieved the title of healthy soldiers.

This morning's conference also approved the plan for implementing the 2013 military and defense tasks of 8 districts. In particular, it focuses on key issues such as: improving the quality of Party cell activities, grasping the ideological situation of the people, strengthening the role of the Military Executive Committee of communes and wards; continuing to promote the campaign of 50 thrift practices and anti-waste in the army, consolidating the construction of coastal defense works for the 2 districts of Dien Chau and Quynh Luu. Strive in 2013, 100% of officers and soldiers will be thoroughly informed of the content and well implement the movement to follow Uncle Ho's teachings, 100% of establishments and agencies with signs of violations in the work of building forces, military recruitment and enrollment will be inspected and clarified.
