Military Region 4 Command: Support Xieng Khouang (Laos) with 500 million VND to build a martyrs' cemetery

(Baonghean.vn) -During the recent working trip to Laos, the delegation of the Military Region 4 Command led by Major General Vo Van Viet - Political Commissar of Military Region 4 had a working session with Xieng Khouang province, Lao People's Democratic Republic. Receiving and working with the delegation, on the side of Xieng Khouang province was Professor, Doctor Xom Cot Mang Do Me - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Xieng Khouang province - Lao People's Democratic Republic.

At the meeting, Comrade Xom Cot Mang Do Me and Major General Vo Van Viet informed each other about the economic, socio-cultural, national defense and security situation in Xieng Khouang province and Military Region 4. Comrade Xom Cot Mang Do Me emphasized: The Party, State and people of Lao ethnic groups in general, Xieng Khouang province in particular always remember the noble sacrifices that Vietnamese volunteer soldiers have made, bringing prosperity and independence and freedom to generations of Laos today. Regarding the work of searching and collecting the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Xieng Khouang province, the Party Committee, government and people of Lao ethnic groups in Xieng Khouang province have been closely coordinating with the Collection Team of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command to search for, collect and bring the remains of martyrs back to the country. Up to now, in Xieng Khouang province, the Collection Team of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command has searched for and recovered 83 martyrs' remains and is preparing to bring the martyrs' remains back to the country.



Major General Vo Van Viet, Political Commissar of Military Region 4, presented support money to Xieng Khouang province.

Speaking at the meeting, Major General Vo Van Viet highly appreciated the achievements in economy, culture, society, national defense and security that Xieng Khouang province has achieved in the past year. The Political Commissar of Military Region 4 thanked the Party Committee, government and people of Lao ethnic groups in Xieng Khouang province for creating all conditions for the collection team of Nghe An Provincial Military Command to successfully complete its tasks in the past year. Hopefully, in the coming time, the collection task will still face many difficulties, the Party Committee, government and people of Lao ethnic groups will continue to pay attention and create conditions to help the collection team complete the tasks assigned by the Party and State.

On this occasion, Major General Vo Van Viet presented 500 million VND from the Military Region 4 Command to support the Xieng Khouang Provincial Military Command in building the province's Martyrs' Cemetery.
