All officials, Party members, military personnel, and defense workers must comply with the law when organizing weddings or weddings for their children.

The number of guests attending the wedding reception should not exceed 300 people (if the groom's and bride's families organize a joint reception, the number of guests should not exceed 600). The reception should not be held multiple times or over several days, guests should not be invited during working hours, and it should not be held in a 4-star or higher hotel. Instead of a formal wedding reception, a tea party or post-wedding announcement is encouraged.

This is one of the requirements of the Central Military Commission in Directive 771 on continuing to practice thrift, combat waste and corruption, and implement a civilized lifestyle in the army, which was recently signed and issued by General Phung Quang Thanh - member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, and Minister of National Defense.

In addition to the above content, the directive also emphasizes: it is strictly prohibited for organizations, officials, Party members, and the general public in the military to use state and military funds and assets to congratulate or give gifts to organizations or individuals in violation of the regulations of the Party, State, and military, in any form. It also prohibits organizations and individuals from using official vehicles of their units to attend festivals, temples, and pagodas.
